Francesco Loi è il 1° flauto del Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, ed è stato 1° Flauto dell’Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale di Santa Cecilia e dell’orchestra del Teatro Alla Scala. Dopo il diploma con il massimo dei voti al conservatorio di Cagliari nella classe di S.Saddi si perfeziona prima a Imola con M.Mercelli e successivamente al Conservatoire di Ginevra con Larrieu ottenendo un 1° premio con distinzione. Negli stessi anni viene selezionato ed entra a far parte dell’Orchestra Giovanile Italiana con direttori come Muti, Sinopoli e Giulini. La sua attività solistica lo ha portato a suonare con importanti orchestre come “I Solisti Aquilani, “Deutchekammervirtuosen”, l’Orchestra del Teatro “Carlo Felice” di Genova e la “Orpheus” di New York. E’ stato ospite in importanti Festival internazionali come L’Emilia Romagna Festival, il Ravenna Festival, Gli Amici Della Musica di Firenze, il Gonjiam Flute Festival di Seoul. Artista ospite del Falaut festival, rassegna che ospita i più celebri esponenti mondiali del Flauto tra cui E.Pahud, M. Larrieu e Sir James Galway. Docente al Master annuale di flauto al conservatorio G.Verdi di Milano, ha insegnato all’università Senzoku di Tokio, alle Master del Flute Festival nella valle di Gonjiam, e su Invito di Davide Formisano nella Musikhochschule fur Musik di Stoccarda. E’ stato invitato da Lady Jeanny e Sir James Galway come Guest Artist al prestigioso Galway Flute Festival di Weggis.
Francesco Loi is the flute solo in Teatro Carlo Felice Di Genova and collaborate with the Teatro Alla Scala di Milano and Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Is born in Sardinia, Italy, and approached to the flute when he was only six years old,and he graduated with highest marks at Conservatory of Cagliari when he was seventeen years old, under the guide of M° Salvatore Saddi. In 1994 he met Massimo Mercelli and began a flautistic and musical study that allow him to play in a lot of festivals and exhibitions, to win competitions and to overtake the audition to come in Superior Conservatory of music of Geneva (Switzerland) in the class of Maxence Larrieu where, two years later, he obtained the “Premier Prix de virtuositè avec distinction”. For his soloist activity he played with very important orchestras such as “Solisti aquilani”, “Camerata strumentale città di Prato”, “Deutchekammervirtuosen”, “Carlo Felice” of Genova and “Orpheus chamber orchestra” of New York. He performed for “Amici della musica” of Florence and Bologna, festival “From Bach to Bartok” of Imola, “Teatro Massimo” of Palermo, music festival of Erl, Ravenna Festival, EmiliaRomagna Festival, Gonjiam Flute Festival, Galway Flute Festival in Weggis Switzerland He played for concerts in France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, China, Japan, Korea, Kazakistan, Cuba, Oman. From 1995 until 1997 he was first flute of “Orchestra Giovanile italiana”. His first flute activity allowed him to perform under the direction of Carlo Maria Giulini, Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Metha, Eliahu Imbal, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Daniel Harding, Myung-Whun Chung, Alexander Vedernikov, Franco Rossi, Daniel Oren, Juanjo Mena, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos and Gary Bertini,Riccardo Chailly, Fabio Luisi. He is a guest artist of Falaut festival, an international show about world of flute, that has guests sush as Emmanuel Pahud, Maxence Larrieu and Sir James Galway. Professor at the annual Flute Master at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan, he also taught at the Senzoku University of Tokyo, at Master of the Flute Festival in the Gonjiam Valley in Seoul, and by invitation of Davide Formisano at the Musikhochschule fur Musik in Stuttgart. Invited by Lady Jeanny and Sir James Galway as Guest Artist at the prestigious Galway Flute Festival of Weggis.
