Renaud Guy-Rousseau a 23 anni entra nell’Orchestra National de France come clarinetto basso solista, dopo avere occupato lo stesso posto all’Orchestre Lamoureux. E’ membro dell’Ensemble Furians e collabora con la maggior parte delle formazioni stabili francesi, quali l’Ensemble Les Dissonances e, su strumenti storici, Les Siècles e La Chambre Philharmonique. Fuori dalla Francia, suona con la Pacific Music Festival Orchestra in Giappone, nell’Oslo Filharmonien, e viene regolarmente invitato dal London Symphony Orchestra sotto la direzione di Simon Rattle. Con la fagottista Lola Descours e l’oboista Ilyes Bouffaden, crea il Trio Cocteau; esplora un vasto repertorio di musica da camera con i quartetti Hermès, Ellipse, Girard e Bédrich, la flautista Adriana Ferreira, l’arpista Emilie Gastaud, l’Ensemble Initium, Musica Nigela, i pianisti David Saudubray, Guillaume Sigier e Jean-Baptiste Doulcet, e i violoncellisti Noé Natorp e Gauthier Broutin. Partecipa a numerosi festival quali Les Folles Journées de Nantes, Radio France Occitanie-Montpellier, il Festival Debussy e Festi’Val d’Arly. Nato nel 1990 a Parigi, inizia a suonare con Michel Bernier ai Lilas, quindi al Conservatorio regionale di Parigi con Richard Vieille, sviluppando il suo interesse per il clarinetto basso con Jean-Marc Volta. Si laurea in clarinetto al Conservatorio Nazionale Superiore di Parigi con Philippe Berrod e Arnaud Leroy. Il suo interesse per i repertori tradizionali e l’improvvisazione lo porta a collaborare regolarmente con il Sirba Octet, esplorando il repertorio klezmer e tzigano. Si esibisce anche in duo con il fisarmonicista Félicien Brut. Renaud è professore al Conservatorio del 17° arrondissement di Parigi dal 2016.
Renaud Guy-Rousseau has just won the position of bass clarinet solo at the Orchester National de France. Born in Paris in 1990, Renaud trained with Michel Bernier at the Conservatoire des Lilas before joining Richard Vieille’s class at the CRR in Paris. His interest in the bass clarinet led him to work with Jean-Marc Volta and then with Jean-Noël Crocq. He perfected himself in chamber music in the class of Paul Meyer and Eric the Sage in a wind quintet then continued his studies at the CNSM in Paris in the class of Philippe Berrod and Arnaud Leroy. Winner of the European Music Competition in Picardy, Leopold Bellan and UFAM, he is also clarinet solo of the Young Philharmonie of Seine Saint Denis between 2004 and 2007. Renaud participates in the French Youth Orchestra under the direction of Dennis Russell Davies and the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra based in Japan under the direction of Fabio Luisi. Bass clarinet solo of the Lamoureux Orchestra and member of the ensemble Furians (direction Pierre Dumoussaud), he regularly performs in other phalanges: Orchestra the Siècles, Lyon National Orchestra, Radio-France Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchester de Paris , Orchester National de France where he has the opportunity to work under the baton of Bernard Haitink, Daniele Gatti, Leonard Slatkin, Alain Altinoglu, James Gaffigan, David Afkham. Passionate about improvised music, he followed the advice of Louis Scalvis, Thomas Savy and Vincent Lê Quang and played in the jazz band Les Tzingarelli.
